Spidercat, spidercat...

...Does whatever a spidercat does...

We live in a house. It held of course some small spiders, but also some silverfish. Pica doesn't often see em. You have to point em out and after 3 times looking he might understand that there is a small target for him. He'll eat em though...

4 days ago a spider walked into the living room. Not a small one mind you! The kind with the big hairy paws and ugly brown look. The ones that don't stick to ceilings and will prefer walking over the floor. The 3 to 4 cm diameter kind.

I spotted him moving... and then it sat still. I wanted to show pica the thing but there were 2 reasons why I didn't. I was unsure Pica would really get him and where or behind or under what would it flee and how would we get it then??? Second reason... I was not sure I ever dared rub pica over the corners of his mouth again (which he really loves). The mental image of the paw wriggling in is mouth would prevent me from ever touching the little muppet.

So after a minute I decided to take some newspapers and go for it. The excitement coming from Skavenger especially had awoken Pica though. As soon as I got up Pica went for it... It being the door though. He got 5 cm from the spider and then turned around. "Meow!?" Meaning: "Food!??".

Fair to say Pica is blind. A big use ass spider and he just walks past him.
I smashed the spider.

Yesterday there was an other spider. Same kind, and I killed him. Threw him away, walked back and said: "There was a spider again." Followed by a truely terrified Skavenger holding her breath and looking terrified in my direction. If I didn't know what it was about I'd say she had seen a ghost.

I hope there won't be any more of these spiders. It is that I live on my own now and that I am the man of the house. Otherwise I would have called my mum and get her to kill it.

Spidercat, Spidercat ...Does whatever a spidercat does...
i.e. nothing!

OMG, I don't mind ghosts at all, they don't have eight hairy legs!

But spiders, eww! I really hate them...
