2000 years of standing still
Inspired by "dodenherdenken", the day Dutch people will remember all that have fallen in service of the Netherlands, which will be in a few days.
Many people say "this no more" after a devastating thing. A lot of people say you should learn form the past.
So why are we on a modern crusade in Afghanistan? Imposing our believes, not of Christianity, but of capitalism, Democracy and other western morals. These people are not ready for that. And who ever said our way is the best way?

Actually, not true. I remembered 200 years ago there was no pope ;) So I looked it up. The first crusade was in 1095. So it is 913 years of standing still. And since we are there a couple of years already I nerf it to 900. So the title should be:
"900 years of standing still"
Ergh... I'm guessing those 200 are a typo? 2000, right?
